A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

Mortimer Brewster returns home to tell his sweet old aunties the news of his engagement, only to discover the old dears have perfected a poisonous cocktail and used their room-for-rent to lure unsuspecting gentlemen to "permanent lodging" in their basement! Chaos ensues as Mortimer attempts a cover-up while the characters pile up in the Brewster home: a brother who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt, Mortimer’s bride-to-be, the police, a gangland doctor, and even a long-lost brother with a more-than-questionable background.

Start off the evening with a great dinner at 6:30 pm, and then on to the First Avenue Playhouse, for dessert, coffee and a great show (drinks & gratuity at the restaurant not included)
