Our Show Format
Our doors open at 2:00 p.m. for the regular
Saturday performance. As the audience
enters theatre they are greeted by the puppeteers who seat the children
in front of the puppet stage while adults take their seats around the perimeter
of the theatre. Then , in our interactive pre-show , the puppeteers walk
through the audience with marionettes who engage the children in
humorous verbal and visual interplay. This helps us establish
a rapport with the children and helps to hold the attention of
even very small children throughout the
main performance.
At approximately 2:20 p.m., house lights dim
and the main puppet stage curtain opens.
At the conclusion of the performance
the curtain re-opens and the puppeteers invite the
audience up to the front of the stage to see some of the workings behind
the scenes, ask questions about the show and witness a demonstration
of some of the marionettes from the show.
When the general public exits the
theatre any scheduled birthday parties begin at this time.
Private birthday parties are scheduled on
Saturdays with the performance at 11:00 a.m. and the party at the
conclusion of the show (app. 11:45 a.m.).
