The Curious Savage

An entertaining and fanciful comedy about Mrs. Savage who has been left ten million dollars by her husband and she wants to make the best use of it, despite her greedy stepchildren’s selfish attempts to get their hands on it. Mrs. Savage has put her wealth into negotiable bonds in the hope to help others realize their dreams. Her stepchildren commit her to a “sanitorium” to try to shock her to her senses. There she meets a variety of social misfits all needing the help she can provide. These wonderful people immediately endear themselves to Mrs. Savage. With their help Mrs. Savage leads her stepchildren on a merry chase! In the end we learn that kindness and affection have not been entirely lost in a world that seems at times to only be motivated by greed and dishonesty.

Garden State Parkway to exit 117.... take Route 36 for approximately 10 miles to jughandle that reads...Scenic Route...Business District. Jughandle is right after Valley Bank)
Take this jughandle and cross the highway...we are 3 1/2 blocks down on left hand side (burgundy awning with First Avenue Playhouse on it as illustrated above).
From locations south of Sandy Hook, along ocean
Take Route 36 north (Ocean Avenue) and pass Sandy Hook by about 4 miles to First Avenue (Shell Gas Station) turn right...we are 3 1/2 blocks down on left hand side
From Locations West of Parkway
Take Route 79 or 516 to Route 35 in Matawan, turn right onto 35 and take first left onto Route 36. Follow directions from All Points on the Parkway above
