Mel is a well paid executive in a company which has suddenly hit the skids. When he gets the ax, his wife takes a job to tide them over. Then she too is sacked. As if this weren’t enough, polluted air is killing everything that grows on his terrace. Also, the walls of the high rise apartment are paper thin so the private lives of a pair of German stewardesses next door are open books to him. Mel does the only thing left: he has a nervous breakdown, but he is admirably resilient and has the grit to survive..

From ALL points on the Garden State Parkway

Garden State Parkway to exit 117.... take Route 36 for approximately 10 miles to jughandle that reads...Scenic Route...Business District. Jughandle is right after Valley Bank)

Take this jughandle and cross the highway...we are 3 1/2 blocks down on left hand side (burgundy awning with First Avenue Playhouse on it as illustrated above).

From locations south of Sandy Hook, along ocean

Take Route 36 north (Ocean Avenue) and pass Sandy Hook by about 4 miles to First Avenue (Shell Gas Station) turn right...we are 3 1/2 blocks down on left hand side

From Locations West of Parkway

Take Route 79 or 516 to Route 35 in Matawan, turn right onto 35 and take first left onto Route 36. Follow directions from All Points on the Parkway above
